Generations of Faith

Generations of Faith (GOF) provides an integrated and comprehensive approach to faith formation that equips the parish to become a community of learning by creating lifelong faith formation that is centered in the events of church life, embraces all ages and generations, and promotes faith growth at home, through parish preparation programs.  GOF empowers and equips individuals and families to live their faith at home and in the world.

Generations of Faith offers life-long faith for everyone: Singles, couples, children, grandparents, families, retired people and many more. GOF is a celebration of all generations engaging in more meaningful participation in church liturgies and events. They continue to reflect and apply the significance and meaning of these events for their lives as Catholics.

It allows time to spend strengthening your own knowledge of the faith as a member of the Catholic Church. It offers assistance in getting teenagers involved with the church as well as bringing your family closer together with the help of the Lord.
All ages learn about the same topics according to their own stage in life. This is done by splitting members into age groups. The different age groups come back together to share what they have learned and receive home-kits that give them the tools to continue what they have learned.

We offer two nights of Generations of Faith. The first and Second Wednesday of the month Generations of Faith is offered at St. Joseph Church in Spearfish and the Fourth Sunday of each month at St. Paul Church in Belle Fourche.  They are all the same program, so you choose which Wednesday is best for your family.  Dinner begins at 5:15 and sessions begin at 6:00pm.  To register, please call the office at 642-2306 or [email protected].  Generations of Faith begins in September and goes until April.
