The mission of the Catholic Newman Center is to bring students and faculty of Black Hills State University ot Jesus Christ through the Gospel and full participation in the life of the Church, challenging them to be faithful disciples and preparing them for their Christian mission in the world.
The Newman Club offers an opportunity for great fellowship, prayer, spiritual growth, service, fun activities and a family atmosphere while attending school. Msgr. Woster, and Fr. John Paul Trask will help our group find room for Christ in a busy campus life.
The Club meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month from 7-8 p.m. in the Swartz Room.
The Newman Leadership's objective is to build a Newman Center that is more accessible and visible to the students and faculty of the BHSU campus, and to support and strengthen the faith of the Catholic students and young adults during a critical transitional time of their lives. It is our hope that the Students will take the spiritual gifts they have received through their ministries and share those gifts with others wherever thier careers and vocations lead them. We are committed to serving the spiritual needs of all students and faculty who choose to be part of the Newman Center family.

Support (Capital Campaign)
Supporting the Christian formation of our youth is a mission for everyone. Keeping faith alive in the hearts and minds of students is important wherever we are. The Newman Center along with St. Joseph's catholic Church in Spearfish will provide a place where students and faculty can go for worship, spiritual direction, religious education, a quiet place to study, community service, socialization and recreation.
As you review the information below we ask you see within the pages a vision for campus ministry that will have a positive impact not only on the lives of young people who participate, but with families, parishes, and communities in which they will soon become leaders. The Newman Center welcome students and faculty of all faiths to participate in our programs. You are invited to generously consider how you will make our vision a reality.
Newman Center Capital Campaign Goes Social
Like our Facebook page today to keep updated on the Newman Center Capital Campaign progress.
Here we will be posting the latest fundraising news, event news, donor profiles, and much more.
The Newman Center operates as a mission of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, but because of many needs in the parish we often do not have the resources we need to fully reach out to the students on campus. Please prayerfully consider giving to help us be able to better serve the students of Black Hills State University
All Donations are tax-deductible.
The BHSU Newman Students appreciate everything our generous doners have been able to give!
